Vancouver School Board Shenanigans EXPOSED!

Patti Bacchus and her Vision Party-dominant school board in Vancouver BC
has been working with sex activists to bring political indoctrination
into the Vancouver public school system. The VSB rubber stamps a provably
harmful program called “Out in Schools” that is “approved” by a mysterious
committee whose members remain “secret”! They give “approval” to a program
that falsely claims to having been submitted for approval by the Ministry of
Education, a program that promotes “youth links” to hard core gay porn sites
and encourages students to use hateful slurs to counter factual discourse on
issues related to homosexuality! No ongoing oversight. No benchmarks, and
no goals. Just blatant abuse of taxpayer money and abuse of the trust of
parents who are never notified of these programs.

Join Kari Simpson and Ron Gray as they detail the situation and explain
why they are filing a formal complaint with the School Board on behalf
of concerned parents and their victimized children.

The BC Bible Belt strikes again!

And this is a bad thing? Jim, are you a religion bigot?

  2. Kim

Just wondering when you folks will respect people for being people? That’s what you, and I and others are. People. And we remain so no matter who we love.

Pay attention, class: THIS IS ABOUT A POLITICAL ORGANIZATION OPERATING IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS. This site is NOT anti-gay; it’s anti-sex activism in public schools. Make Out In Schools an aftr school program and we won’t have any complaints!

  3. "RADICAL GAY ACTIVIST"

Ummm yeah its a bad thing! The public school system is supposed to be a SECULAR one.

    1. Earl

Agreed! Religion, politics, and sex indoctrination have NO PART in public schools. Out In Schools hits 2 out of 3 of those.

Gee, Rock-and-Roll as well? In case you haven’t checked in the last century or so, politics and sex have a huge part in public schools, locally under the titles of Social Studies and Personal Planning. Your accusation of the “indoctrination” aspect is subjective and by observing the language and context you and those who support you use in the content above, and in your comment replies, it’s very easy to see that your misguided emotions are severely impairing your judgement, provided you’re capable of employing such a thing.

I speak as someone who has completed studies in the British Columbia public education system within the last 10 years, is very much akin to the differences between my education and that of which children are getting today, and with that, it becomes very easy for me to say: get a grip.

If you have such an objection to the progressive nature of this country and more specifically, this region, may I suggest relocating to one of the jurisdictions in the more southern latitudes where at least not as many people think you’re nuts?

Don’t get hysterical, Tanner. Rock and Roll isn’t a threat and doesn’t break Ministry’s mandates. Stick to the subject: BC’s Ministry of Education clearly excludes religious promotion, political movements, and sexual indoctrination in public schools. Social studies and sex ed objectively study all aspects of their subjects without bias. When Out In Schools lied to the Ministry and the School Boards to get their program into schools, and then blatantly carried on a bias and exclusionary campaign, that’s against your government’s rules. If you don’t like that, go through the legal and political process and change it. Until that happens – and it may very well happen – what’s wrong with playing by the rules? What, only your team can cheat? Yeah, that’s fair. Nice lesson for the kids.

This entire article is based on lies and half-truths. While the Out in Schools program pamphlet USED to have a link to a website with helpful information, this link has since been removed because it now leads to some pretty graphic stuff. The link is not part of a ‘hidden agenda’ or being used by a ‘mysterious committee’ of any kind.

You have no clue, do you? Why do some people just close their eyes and ears and heart to the truth when it’s all there for anyone to find on their own? Rather than blindly following your leader, why don’t you do something productive and have Ross Johnstone (or anyone, for that matter) answer the questions put to him long ago by email and in this post: http://www.cultureguard.com/2011/10/05/letter-to-ross-johnstone-out-on-films/ ? The questions are reasonable and FACT-based. Rather than cast false aspersions, why not answer fact with fact? Is it beyond you to deal with reality?

Only children and dolts say “Oh yeah” and “Says you” when confronted with reality that they’d rather not believe.
